A native of Rhode Island, Donna began her career as a licensed veterinary technician in 1981 after graduating from Newbury College in Boston, Massachusetts. She started her journey in the field of Ophthalmology in Cheshire, Connecticut in 1991.
Donna moved to Michigan in 2000 and began working as the ophthalmology nurse at Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in the Veterinary Medical Center. She attained her VTS in ophthalmology in 2016
The two things she is most passionate about are working with pets and their owners and passing on the knowledge she has attained over the years by teaching veterinary and veterinary nursing students.
Donna has served on the executive board of the Veterinary Ophthalmic Technician Society as president, vice president, and credentials committee chair. She has also served as President for the Academy of Veterinary Ophthalmic Technicians and was instrumental in helping this academy become the 13 th specialty academy under NAVTA’s guidance.
