Join our excellent team of technicians and assistants in the beautiful town of Richmond. We are a thriving practice offering opportunities to work with multiple doctors with various backgrounds and interests, including acupuncture, dentistry, pathology and ophthalmology. Job responsibilities include client education, animal handling, venipuncture, lab work, and radiographs. Surgery shifts (2-4 per month to start) include surgical monitoring, administering drugs, assisting with dental procedures and dental radiographs.
One great thing about working here; is along with working with cats and dogs; you will also have the opportunity to work with wildlife, which we do pro bono. Vet techs are responsible for handling daily appointments, supporting veterinarians, maintaining a clean and sanitary hospital, filling prescriptions, monitoring surgeries and treatments, and running diagnostics including radiographs and lab work. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience with blood draws, placing catheters, pre- and post-operative patient monitoring as well as anesthesia monitoring.

An ability to communicate with clients and team members is vital. Applicants will have a positive and productive work ethic. This position will appeal to applicants interested in providing thorough and compassionate care to a variety of animals and building strong relationships with clientele.

A minimum of 1 year’s experience in a veterinary technician or assistant role is required. Rotating weekends required. Full-time or part-time shifts considered.
